Red Arrow Motorcoach operates daily scheduled intercity passenger service to; Fort McMurray, Edmonton, Red Deer, Calgary and Lethbridge.
Established in 1979 by company founder - Robert B. Colborne, Red Arrow Motorcoach remains a privately owned and operated Alberta company.
Red Arrow Motorcoach, General Manager, John Stepovy notes, “R.B. Colborne’s vision was to build and operate Alberta’s first intercity business class passenger service and making it accessible for everyone. He truly was a visionary and a pioneer in the passenger transportation industry, his focus and passion was centered on safety and meeting the needs of passengers.”
While many industries and organizations today have turned to measuring their customers experience, R.B. Colborne and his team of motorcoach operators were asking questions and improving passenger safety and service thirty-five years ago. R.B. Colborne’s unwavering commitment to safety and exceeding passenger satisfaction has become the hallmark of the Red Arrow Motorcoach operations.
“We have always been innovative,” says Stepovy. “Today our fleet features; seat belts, industry leading onboard safety technology, privacy row seating, comfortable/reclining leather seats, onboard Wi-Fi, power outlets, movies, local and satellite radio, folding tables, footrests and a galley that features a selection of refreshments and snacks for passengers. Our entire Red Arrow Motorcoach Fleet is wheel chair accessible, which reflects our commitment to barrier free travel. We continue the tradition of ensuring that our passengers enjoy their onboard experience while we deliver service excellence every time.”
In recent years, Red Arrow Motorcoach has introduced direct service to the Calgary International Airport and daily scheduled service to Lethbridge. We believe, like many of our satisfied customers, that our service is safe, comfortable, productive and reliable. Whether you are travelling for pleasure or business Red Arrow Motorcoach is the most sophisticated way to travel.
To meet the emerging public transportation needs of the province and connect with new a generation of passengers, the company introduced ebus in 2011.
“The strength of the ebus brand,” says Stepovy, “is that we are building a strong connection with diverse and emerging consumer groups that are web and social media savvy and where our service needs to be economical, efficient and safe.
“Today,” says Stepovy, “ebus provides daily motorcoach passenger service to Fort McMurray, Athabasca, St. Albert, Edmonton, Red Deer, Calgary and we have also introduced service from Edmonton to Grassland, Lac La Biche and Anzac. Recently, we have initiated direct service from Edmonton to employee camps within the Fort McMurray region and our passengers are delighted with the service. For many workers heading to Fort McMurray or returning home, travel is now seamless. We’ve built a schedule that works for them, it’s hassle-free, with no transfers and the need to take a shuttle or taxi to camp has been eliminated. The most valuable aspect of the service is the safety of our passengers. Once workers board ebus they don’t have to contend with the traffic on one of Alberta’s busiest corridors.”
Red Arrow Motorcoach and ebus are committed to the communities we serve, strengthening passenger services in Alberta and ensuring that everyone get’s “Safely Home”. Safely Home represents our deepest commitment to safety and is the ultimate promise we make to each other, to the communities where we operate in, the public and to our customers we value deeply.
